    Background:

Ethiopian coffee season is in full swing for Australians. Vibrant coffees, like Shale, are a roaster's cherished delight. Located in the Yirgacheffe region near the town of Worka. This coffee is made up from the pickings of nearly 1,500 smallholder producers from the surrounding area. It is grown at the extreme altitudes of 2300-2400 masl then processed as fully-washed and dried on raised beds at the Shale wet-mill. It is quite classic in its flavour profile, but a very vibrant example of the Yirgacheffe profile.
