    In the Dimtu district, Dikitu is the village's name and washing station that this coffee comes from. Owned and managed by husband and wife, Gizaw Alemayehu and Frehiwot Mekonnen.

    More than 350 smallholding farming families produce this coffee in Dikitu. The Dikitu village is a day and a half drive from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital city. Although Dikitu is relatively new and upcoming as a specialty coffee producing area, before the early 2000s, most of the land was unfarmed. This means the soil is very fertile, and coffee crops can easily flourish. In addition, the coffee and the farming practices are organic by default, with the mountainous highland region offering the most gifted microclimate.
